Electronic Identification Information Evening @ Burrumbuttock

Event date: 10/10/2017 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM Export event

Electronic identification has recently become mandatory for all sheep and goats in Victoria as well as cattle.  But what benefits are there for the farmer on farm that justify the expense?

Join Southern Riverina Sheep Breeders and West Hume Landcare at Jindera for dinner and an informative presentation by Dr Kristy Howard. Kristy has first-hand experience with monitoring sheep growth rates using EID, especially, what works (and what doesn’t), what is a waste of time and how to collect and analyse the data to make commercial selection decisions.  Her presentation will cover how to get started using EID in a cost-effective manner and what data can be collected without the need for EID as well as examples of how the data can be used to increase production.
